Meet Lulu
Hi, there! - I'm so glad you're here.
If you've found this site, you're likely feeling overwhelmed by meal planning with food allergies. You want to feed your child nutritious, delicious meals without the constant worry about reactions, cross-contamination, or serving the same five "safe" foods on repeat.
I'm here to share everything I've learned to help transform your kitchen from stressful to seamless.
Here's what I share with our community:
🏠Kitchen safety systems - My proven methods for preventing cross-contamination, organizing allergen-free zones, and creating prep strategies that save time and stress.

🏫 School resources - Navigate 504 plans, IEPs, and school safety protocols with confidence. As an educator with 14+ years in classrooms, I understand both sides and share practical advocacy strategies.
đź’Ş Social situation strategies - How to navigate birthday parties, school lunches, dining out, and family gatherings without anxiety or last-minute scrambling.

My story gives you hope:
In 2016, I was where you might be now—standing in my kitchen feeling defeated, watching my child suffer with severe eczema and multiple food allergies. Those early years were filled with nutritional worries, failed recipes, and pure overwhelm about so much. I also remember the anxiety of sending him to school, wondering if teachers truly understood the severity of his allergies.
Fast forward to today…
My child is thriving. No more eczema. He's a well-nourished, athletic school-aged kid who has overcome several allergens. More importantly, our family enjoys varied, delicious meals together, and I feel confident about his safety at school. I've created hundreds of nutrient-dense, allergen-free recipes and kitchen systems that work for real families—plus I know how to work with schools to keep kids with food allergies safe.
Why I share this knowledge:
Beyond my 7+ years of hands-on experience feeding a food-allergic family, I bring 14+ years in education with a master's degree in early childhood and special education from NYU. I understand child development, the overwhelm of food allergies, and how to make complex dietary changes feel manageable for busy families.
As a seasoned educator, I see both sides of school food allergy management. I know what teachers need to feel confident in keeping your child safe, how to write effective 504 plans that actually get implemented, and how to communicate with school staff in ways that build partnership rather than resistance.
I've taught across continents and know how to break down overwhelming information into practical, actionable steps that actually work in real kitchens with real kids—and real schools.
A little about me
I'm currently back in the classroom teaching elementary school—a role I deeply love. My husband and I have known each other for more than two decades, and we share our life with our one-and-only child.
I believe in living a holistic, whole-foods lifestyle—not just for allergy management but for overall wellness and balance. When I'm not creating content for our community or lesson planning, you'll find me hiking or biking with my family, strength training or doing Pilates, reading, or indulging in chocolate with wine in the quiet evening hours.
Oh—and my secret talent: folding a fitted sheet like a boss.
